LETTUCE WITH BACON DRESSING 
1 lg. head lettuce, washed, dried, and cut up (about 12 c.)
1 sm. onion, chopped fine
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/2 lb. bacon, cut in 1 inch pieces
2 tbsp. flour

In salad bowl combine lettuce and onion; set aside. Beat eggs; stir in sugar, water, and vinegar. Fry bacon until crisp; stir in flour and cook until bubbly. Stir in egg mixture. Cook and stir until mixture begins to boil and thickens. Pour over lettuce mixture and toss. Serve immediately. Makes 4-6 servings.
