LETTUCE WITH BACON DRESSING 
1/2 lb. bacon
2 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. vinegar
1 head lettuce

Dice, fry and drain bacon; set aside. Beat eggs; add sugar and mix well. Add vinegar and mix again. Cook over moderate heat until the mixture thickens and boils. Add bacon and stir. Cool until lukewarm and mix with lettuce.
