NORWEGIAN PECANS 
1 lb. pecans
2 tsp. plus 1/4 c. butter
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Spread 1 pound pecans and 2 teaspoons melted butter in a shallow pan. Bake, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes. Cool. Melt 1/4 cup butter in shallow pan in 325 degree oven. Beat 2 egg whites until moist peaks form. Sift together 1 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and fold into beaten egg whites. Stir in pecans. Spread mixture over melted butter. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
