ANISE SEED CINNAMON BREAD
6 c. flour
2 tbsp. anise seed
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. granulated sugar
2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. milk, approximate

Mix together the sugars, anise seed, cinnamon and soda. Pour in 2 cups flour and some milk. Stir together. Add 2 cups of flour and more milk. Repeat, adding 2 cups flour and more milk. Repeat, adding 2 cups flour and more milk. The batter should be a little thicker and than cake batter.

Divide the batter into 2 oiled pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. This recipe comes from a neighbor who came from Holland. I love it because you mix everything in one bowl and then bake it. It can be kept wrapped in plastic for a month in the cupboard, or for 2-3 months in the refrigerator.
