LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1 c. celery, diced
4 eggs, hard cooked & sliced
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1 sweet red onion, diced
8 slices bacon, fried & crumbled
2 c. mayo
2 tbsp. sugar
4 oz. cheddar cheese, grated

Tear the cleaned, crisp lettuce into small bite size pieces and place in a 9"x12" pan or bowl. Layer rest of ingredients in the order given. Add sugar to the mayo, spread over the top as you would frosting. Top with grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
