CHOCOLATE CREME DE MENTHE
BROWNIES
 
Batter:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
4 eggs
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:

2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 tbsp. creme de menthe

Icing:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
6 tbsp. butter

Mix batter ingredients and pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Mix filling and spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Make icing by melting butter and chips together. While icing is still hot spread over filling. Cut with a very sharp knife, when cool.

DIETITIAN'S NOTE:

OOH LA-LA! I hope they invent a chocolate without fat! Enjoy this luscious dessert in great moderation.
