3/4 c. flour 1/2 c. uncooked old fashioned or quick cooking oats 1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. wheat germ 1 tbsp. grated lemon peel Brown sugar 2 eggs 1 (1/4 oz.) almond or other nuts 1/2 c. shredded coconut Onto large bowl measure first 5 ingredients and 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. Mix together and press into 6 x 8 inch baking pan. In small bowl beat eggs with 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and stir in nuts and coconut. Pour over mixture in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and cut into bars. |
