APPLESAUCE CHICKEN 
1 chicken, cut up or use select parts
1/4 c. prepared mustard
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 (16 oz.) jar applesauce

Butter 2-quart shallow baking dish and set aside. In small bowl mix mustard and brown sugar. Dip and roll each piece of chicken in mustard mix. Sprinkle with garlic.

Sprinkle with pepper and place in prepared baking pan in one layer. Pour applesauce over chicken. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve over pasta, rice, or potatoes.
