1 c. Crisco
2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour (sifted)
2/3 c. cocoa
1 c. sour milk
1 c. hot water

Cream first 4 ingredients together. Sift together soda, baking powder, flour, and cocoa; combine with creamed mixture. Add 1 cup sour milk and 1 cup hot water to above.

Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet 1 1/2-inches apart. Put 2 cookies together with filling.

FILLING:

2 egg whites
1 tbsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. milk
2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. more powdered sugar

Blend well.
