ARLYNE'S FINEST BARBECUE SAUCE 
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. chili powder
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. orange liqueur

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, and chili powder. Stir in tomato sauce, vinegar, ketchup, corn syrup and 1/2 cup water. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Stir in orange liqueur, simmer uncovered 5 more minutes. Use with beef, lamb or poultry. Makes 3 cups.
