LEMON PICNIC LOAF 
3/4 c. + 1 tbsp. butter (1/2 Crisco & 1/2 butter)
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 c. milk
Grated rind of 2 lemons
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. walnuts

Mix all ingredients like a cake. Pour into 2 small loaf pans (9x5x2 3/4 inch). Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.

Mix 2/3 cup sugar and juice of 2 lemons. Put on top of hot loaves.
