BAKED CARAMEL CORN 
5 qt. popped yellow popcorn
2 sticks butter
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. dry salted roasted peanuts
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Combine butter, syrup, sugar, salt and vanilla. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly over low heat or it will burn. Remove from heat and add the 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. During cooking keep the popcorn and nuts warm in a 200 degree oven. Pour cooked mixture over popcorn and nuts in a cookie sheet.

Mix and put into a 250 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Stir occasionally while it cools to keep it from sticking together.
