SESAME OYSTER STEW
2 c. shucked oysters
Oyster liquor
4 slices bacon
1 lg. onion, sliced
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. parched, ground sesame seeds

Fry bacon and onion until brown; remove them from the pan. Shake the flour into the hot fat and stir until it is brown. Remove the pan from the heat and gradually add the oyster liquor, with a little water if necessary (about 1 1/2 cups liquid).

Return the pan to the stove and stir the mixture until it has thickened slightly. Add sesame seeds. Finally, add the oysters and cook until their edges curl. Serve immediately on a bed of rice.
