BASIC BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 c. Grandmas's molasses
1 c. prepared mustard
1 c. vinegar

Mix molasses and mustard; stir in vinegar. Cover and refrigerate. Makes 3 cups.

Variations:

Tomato Barbecue Sauce: Add 1 cup catsup to Basic Barbecue Sauce. Yields 1 quart.

Herb Barbecue Sauce: Add 1/4 teaspoon each, marjoram, oregano and thyme to 1 cup Basic Barbecue Sauce. Yields 1 cup.

For Oven Broiled Chicken: Brush sauce on chicken parts, broil until tender, brush again.

For Barbecue Hamburger: Flavor, knead sauce into meat, brush on burgers, brown.

For Baked Glazed Ham: Brush with sauce during last half hour of baking.
