BOSTON BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. Navy beans
6 c. water
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 lb. salt pork, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/3 c. molasses
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 sm. onion
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. pepper

Soak beans overnight in 6 cups water. Next day, add soda and bring to a boil for 10 minutes, drain and reserve liquid. Place beans, onion and pork in a bean pot.

Combine remaining ingredients with 1 cup reserved liquid. Pour over beans. Add another cup liquid and pour over all. Bake in 300 degree oven for 2 hours or until liquid is absorbed.
