1 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
3 3/4 c. flour
2 c. applesauce
1 c. raisins, cooked and cooled
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda

Mix well and drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 10-12 minutes.
