HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
3 or 4 strips bacon
1 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. flour
7 to 10 potatoes
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. water

Cook potatoes with jackets on. Cut bacon in small pieces, fry it. Remove bacon, saute onion in bacon fat. Stir in flour and salt. Add sugar, vinegar and water. Bring to a boil, add bacon pieces and pour over the cut up cooled potatoes. Can be made and reheated on low heat.
