2 tbsp. butter, softened
1 egg
2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. raisins (optional)

Have all ingredients at room temperature. Dissolve yeast in water. Beat in 3 tablespoons sugar, salt, 2 tablespoons butter, egg and 1 cup flour. Stir in enough flour to make soft dough. Turn out onto floured board and knead for 2 minutes until smooth. Roll dough in 18 x 9-inches. Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon. Put raisins in now. Roll up and seal edges firmly, then cut into 12 pieces. Arrange in 8-inch greased pan. Allow to double in size. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes, then frost.

POWDERED SUGAR FROSTING:

Combine 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons softened butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 3 to 4 teaspoons milk. Drizzle over rolls.
