1 pkg. dry yeast 1/4 c. warm water 1 c. whole wheat flour 1 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. olive oil 1/2 to 2/3 c. warm water Vegetable cooking spray Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water in a small bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Combine flours and salt in a large bowl; stir in yeast mixture and oil. Add enough warm water to make a moderately stiff dough; stir well. Cover and let stand 15 minutes. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 5 to 8 times; divide dough in half. |
