SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN 
Chicken pieces
Flour
Salt
Buttermilk
Vegetable oil
Italian dressing mix
Spike seasoning

Cut whole chicken into pieces. Skin to lose some fat - optional. Soak the uncooked chicken in buttermilk for anywhere from 2 to 12 hours. Put several cups of sifted flour into a grocery bag with a packet of dry Italian dressing mix and a couple of pinches of salt.
