GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
2 c. flour 4 tbsp. cocoa 2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1 c. Miracle Whip (Yes, Miracle Whip, don't leave it out, it's important) 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. cold water Mix Miracle Whip and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients. Gradually mix dry ingredients and Miracle Whip mixture alternately with water until well mixed. Pour in cake pan, either oblong or 2 round pans that are sprayed with Pam or greased and floured well. Bake 35 to 45 minutes at 300 degrees or until center is done. FROSTING: 1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 3 egg yolks 1 c. half and half cream 1 to 1 1/2 c. coconut 1 to 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts |
