SUPER CHICKEN | |
1 whole chicken or 5-6 breasts Several peppercorns 1 carrot stick 1 celery stick 1 can cream of chicken soup 8 oz. sour cream 1 stick butter 1 stack (roll) Ritz crackers Approx. 1/4 jar poppy seeds Cook chicken approximately 30-40 minutes in enough salted water to cover. Add salt to taste and several peppercorns - about 10, also add carrot and celery. Simmer. Drain. Remove peppercorns and vegetables. Debone chicken and cut into bite size pieces. Combine soup and sour cream. Place cut up chicken in 9x13 inch pan and cover with soup mixture. Crush crackers and spread over top - covering all. Melt butter and pour over top. Sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake at 350 F. for 30 minutes. |
