BREAD CUSTARD PUDDING | |
1 qt. milk 2 c. bread cubes 3 eggs 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tbsp. butter Scald the milk and pour it over the bread which has been cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Let stand 10 minutes. Beat the eggs, slightly. Add the sugar, salt and vanilla to them. Put into a buttered baking dish and add the milk and the bread cubes. Add the melted butter and stir to mix well. Place the dish in a shallow pan of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. |
