WHEAT BREAD 
3 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
2 c. milk
1/3 c. cooking oil
1/3 c. honey
2 eggs
2-3 c. white flour

Combine in large bowl salt, yeast, and 2 cups whole wheat flour. Add milk, cooking oil, and honey. These liquids should be lukewarm (120 to 130 degrees) when added. Beat at high speed 2 minutes. Add eggs and 1/2 cup white flour. Beat on high 2 more minutes. Add 1 1/2 cups wheat flour and 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 cups white flour. Mix by hand; a soft dough is preferred.

Knead, then let rise once. Punch down, roll out, and shape into 2 loaves. Place in 2 greased loaf pans. Let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

For softer crust, brush with melted butter while still hot.
