3 c. flour 1/2 tbsp. salt 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 scant tsp. cream of tartar 1 scant tsp. baking soda 1 c. butter 3 eggs, beaten lightly Place the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl, or mixer bowl. With dough hook, or by hand, mix like pie crumbs, until it forms into crumbs. Add eggs; blend until all dry ingredients are moistened. Chill overnight, covered with plastic wrap. Roll thin; sprinkle with some sugar, if you like. Cut into desired shapes. Bake in preheated 350 oven, depending on thickness, for 12 to 15 minutes. |
