FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch (rounded)
3 tbsp. white Karo syrup
3 tbsp. strawberry Jello (dry)
Pinch salt
Red food coloring

Mix first four ingredients in saucepan. Add dash salt. Boil until clear and thickened. Remove from heat. Add dry Jello and red food coloring (optional). Set in refrigerator to get cool then and add one quart cleaned fresh berries (whole or sliced). Pour in baked pie shell and put in refrigerator until set.

PIE CRUST FOR STRAWBERRY PIE
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. confectioners' sugar
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. flour

Melt butter with confectioners' sugar. Remove from heat and add flour. Pat out in pie pan. Poke holes and bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
