PASTA FAZOLE 
48 oz. homemade (or jarred) pasta sauce
1 can pork & beans
1 c. chopped onion
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 lb. spaghetti or any type sm. noodles
1/4 stick butter
1 tsp. sugar (opt.)
Italian grated cheese (your favorite type)

Add a pinch of salt and 1 tablespoon cooking oil to 4 quarts boiling water. Add the noodles (spaghetti should be broken into small pieces) and stir until water comes to a boil. Simmer until noodles are done.

Meanwhile, place the sauce, beans, onions, salt, pepper and parsley in a saucepan and simmer until the onions are tender. Drain the noodles. In a big pot, add contents of saucepan in with the noodles. Add the butter and stir until melted. Add sugar if desired.

Reheat over very low flame until desired temperature. Serve and top with your favorite Italian grated cheese. Serves 4 to 6.
