OATMEAL CARMELITAS 
1 c. Pillsbury best unbleached or all purpose flour
1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter, melted

Combine in large bowl to form crumbs; press half of crumbs into bottom of 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. 1/2 c. chopped nuts 3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping 3 tbsp. Pillsbury's best unbleached or all purpose flour

Sprinkle chocolate pieces and nuts over baked crust. Mix ice cream topping and flour well; drizzle over chocolate and nuts. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over caramel topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Chill bars for easy cutting.

If using Pillsbury's best self rising flour, omit soda and salt.
