POOR MAN'S STEAK 
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can mushroom soup
1 c. crackers
1 tsp. salt
1 sm. onion, chopped

Mix well and shape in a narrow loaf. Let stand 8 hours or overnight. Slice in pieces and fry until brown. Put slices in layers in a roaster pan. Pour mushroom soup on each slice. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. Serves 4.
