BAR - B - Q STEAK 
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
1 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 lb. round steak, 1/2 inch thick

Combine all ingredients except steak in pan. Bring to a boil, simmer gently for 5 minutes over low heat. Pound steak. Cut into serving size pieces. Place in a large roasting pan. Pour hot sauce over meat. Cover tightly and bake in moderate oven 325 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
