APPLE DUMPLING PIE | |
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, seeded, cut into fourths 1 (8) crescent rolls Place 1 cup sugar, 1 cup orange juice and 1 stick butter in saucepan. Let boil until sugar melts. Separate rolls. Roll up 1 quarter apple in each one. Place in baking dish. Pour the liquid over and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes, depending on oven to be sure apples are done. Don't over brown the crust. (Cinnamon can be sprinkled over apples before cooking if you desire. I prefer plain.) |
