FIVE LAYER TOSSED SALAD 
6 c. lettuce (about 1 1/2 heads)
6 boiled eggs, sliced
1 (10 oz.) pkg. English peas thawed, not cooked
16 oz. bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Swiss cheese shredded
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. sour cream
1/2 to 3/4 c. green onions with blades)
Salt and pepper
2 tsp. sugar

Place about 2 to 3 cups of lettuce in bottom of large deep bowl. Add salt. Make 3 layers using 1/3 of the eggs, peas, bacon and cheese in each layer. Top this with lettuce. Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, and 2 teaspoons sugar. Spread on top of lettuce and around edges to seal. Cover and chill for 8 to 24 hours. Add onions when ready to serve.
