BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
2 c. boiling water
1 (15 oz.) pkg. raisins
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. sugar
2 well beaten eggs
4 c. flour
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts

Pour boiling water over raisins. Add baking soda, salt and butter to water and raisins. Mix, let stand until cool. Meanwhile add sugar to well beaten eggs. Add raisin mixture. Stir in flour and nuts. Pour into 5 No. 2 cans that are well greased. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Freezes well.
