BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
2 c. boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. butter
1 box raisins
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon

Combine water, baking soda, butter and raisins. Let stand 1 hour or until water is cold. Add sugar, eggs, flour and cinnamon. Mix together until well blended. Bake in cans (empty vegetable cans). Grease sides of cans and put waxed paper on bottoms. Bake 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Loosen to remove.

NOTE: Makes about 6 cans. Tastes good spread with cream cheese.
