HOT WATER CORN BREAD 
1 1/2 c. white cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix dry ingredients well and pour boiling water over. Mixing well until you can make into balls. Not too thick. Drop into very hot shortening and brown. When brown on both sides, remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
