VIRGINIA APPLE PUDDING 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. milk
2 c. cooked or canned apple slices, drained

Melt butter in 2 quart casserole. Combine next 6 ingredients into a batter and pour into casserole. Pile apples in center. Bake at 375 degrees until batter covers fruits and crust browns, 30-40 minutes. Serve warm with cream, ice cream, custard sauce, lemon or other pudding sauce.
