SUGARED NUTS 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. cider vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. pecan halves

Combine sugars, evaporated milk and vinegar in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook to soft ball stage, 235 degrees. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir in nuts. Pour on waxed paper and separate nuts. Let cool. Store in airtight container.

Note: This was my grandmother's recipe. We always make these at Christmas.
