1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. water
2 c. pecans or walnuts

In saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook to firm ball stage (244 degrees). Remove from heat; add nuts. Stir until coating on nuts begins to sugar. Spread on buttered baking sheet. Cool.
