WHOOPEE PIES 
18.25 oz. pkg. devil's food cake mix
1 (4 serving) pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
1 c. water

FILLING:

12 tbsp. softened butter
1 c. marshmallow creme
3/4 c. confectioner's sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. To make pies, combine cake mix, pudding mix, butter, eggs and water in large bowl. Beat low speed with electric mixer until just moistened. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl, for 2 minutes or until light and thick. Drop heaping tablespoons of batter 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake for 15 minutes or until pies spring back when touched. Let cool 5 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. While pies cool, prepare filling. In large bowl combine all ingredients and beat at high speed 2 minutes until fluffy. Spread filling on flat side of cookie and top with remaining cookies to make sandwiches.
