APPLE CRUMBLE 
1 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. lemon juice
5 oz. all-purpose white flour
1/2 c. butter
4-6 c. cooking apples (peeled, cored and thinly sliced)
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. lemon rind, grated

Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1 ounce flour in mixing bowl. Squeeze lemon juice over apple slices. Toss apples with sugar mixture. Put in oven-proof baking dish.

Thoroughly mix butter, remaining flour and cinnamon. Add lemon rind and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Sprinkle mixture over apples and bake in oven at 350 for 30 minutes or until top is golden. Serve warm solo or with ice cream.
