IRISH LAMB STEW 
1 1/2 lb. lamb stew meat, cut in 1" cubes
1/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 c. water
2 tbsp. pearled barley
1 c. sliced onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. thyme
4 med. sized carrots, cut in 1 1/2" pieces
2 parsnips, cut in 1 1/2" pieces
4 med. sized potatoes, cut in quarters
Parsley flakes
