CORN BREAD SQUARES 
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add eggs, milk and oil. Beat just until moistened. Spoon into a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until bread tests done.

Makes 9 servings.
