CORN BREAD SQUARES 
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
3 tbsp. Crisco, melted
2 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Beat eggs until light; stir in buttermilk and melted Crisco. Combine remaining ingredients; beat into buttermilk mixture until batter is smooth. Pour into greased 9x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve hot.
