TACO HOTDISH | |
1 to 1 1/2 lbs. hamburger 1 c. uncooked rice (regular) 1 pkg. taco seasoning 1 can tomato soup Green pepper, if desired 1 onion, diced 1 c. American cheese, shredded 1 bag corn chips (Fritos) Sour cream, if desired Taco sauce, if desired Cook 1 cup rice with 2 cups water, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer 10 minutes. Meanwhile, brown hamburger, onion and pepper until brown, drain. Add to hamburger, 1 package of taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water and tomato soup. Simmer 5 minutes. Pour rice and hamburger mixture in large casserole, then put American cheese on top with corn chips on top of cheese so cheese doesn't burn. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees 30 minutes. Serve with more corn chips, sour cream and taco sauce. 6 or more servings. |
