CABBAGE HAMBURGER HOTDISH 
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 lb. hamburger
3/4 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
6 c. coarsely sliced cabbage
1 can tomato soup

In skillet brown onion in 3 tablespoons butter. Add hamburger to remove pink color. Add salt and pepper. Put 3 cups coarsely sliced cabbage in the bottom of well-greased baking dish. Add browned meat and onions. Add 3 more cups cabbage. Pour 1 can undiluted tomato soup over top of mixture. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until cabbage is done.

I make something almost like this, but I add a little shredded carrot and about 1/4-1/2 cup of rice. It cooks in the juices of the cabbage and meat. One of the family favorites.
