ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
1 c. flour
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
2 c. chopped pecans
1 lb. pkg. orange slices, chopped
1/2 c. coconut

Put flour in bowl first, add other of the above ingredients and set aside.

2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and sugar, add the beaten eggs; mix well, add flour, soda and salt alternately with buttermilk. Now add dry ingredients to batter and pour and pour in tube pan. Bake for 2 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.

GLAZE:

1 stick butter
1 c. orange juice
2 c. powdered sugar

Melt butter, add sugar and juice. Punch holes in cake and pour glaze over hot cake. Let cool.
