BEEF AND RED NOODLES 
1 1/2 lb. beef, in stew size pieces
1 clove garlic, minced
6 oz. can tomato paste
3 c. water
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dash cayenne pepper
5 oz. broad egg noodles
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Brown meat slowly in a large heavy skillet without added fat. Add garlic, tomato paste, water and seasonings. Cover and cook on low heat 1 1/2 hours. Add uncooked noodles. Add more water if necessary to cover noodles. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
