SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. cocoa
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 mounded c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water

May substitute 1 cup evaporated milk with 1 teaspoon vinegar added to make the milk sour.

Mix cocoa powder into sugar, then add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix well. Add soda to flour and blend into cocoa mix. FOLD in boiling water. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.

Frost with Cooked Chocolate Frosting (page 35) when cool.
