1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Drop by spoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
