DILL PICKLES 
Fresh evenly colored cucumbers
1 qt. water
1 c. vinegar
1/4 c. pickling salt
Several sprigs of dill to put in each jar
Clean sterilized jars

Select fresh evenly colored cucumbers. Wash and pack in sterilized jars. Place a couple of sprigs of dill weed on top of cucumbers. Fill jars with vinegar mixture to within 1/4 inch of top. Seal. The liquid will become cloudy in a few days, but will soon clear up. The pickles will be firm, crisp and evenly colored.
